Our mission is to encourage community service and volunteerism within the youth of San Juan Island by partnering with local nonprofits, in addition to providing $1,000 scholarship towards achieving post-high school education. We strive to nurture and plant the seeds for the next generation of volunteers to support the social fabric that makes this island community such a special place to live.

The SJI Service Scholarship is operated by a board of volunteers. There are 4 officers of the organization plus Directors-at-large.
